The performance La Fin concerns the deeply understood ecology of culture or – to quote Jerzy Grotowski – the ecology of interpersonal relations. It is not only the ecology of behaviors, micro – and macro rituals, but above all the ecology of the communication environment and the right to express oneself to others, which on the one hand is the foundation of Western culture, which is personalism, and on the other – it requires us to remember that we each create ourselves “in” and “thanks to” contact with another person.
The performance uses several initial fragments of masterpieces that constitute the canon of Western clasical music.
The main theme of La Fin is an act of Ablution with the last drop of pure water, before all water turns into crude oil.
La Fin quotes the first chapter of Guy Debord’s La Société du spectacle, ending it with one missing sentence: “War remains unparalleled among all spectacles.”
